The Move Matcher Virtual Inventory Tool gives you the consumer to provide movers with a detailed photo inventory of your move. No need to login or create a profile! Your inventory is safe and secure and only shared with movers you choose.

Click the “Request Photo Inventory” button and you will be prompted to select movers you would like to request a bid from. From there, you will be sent a link via text message where you can begin taking photos of your inventory. Movers will promply respond with a quote based on your inventory you provide.

Move Matcher Book Now Terms and Conditions

Definitions

“User”: someone using the Move Matcher website to find, compare or book one of our vetted, licensed, insured and bonded movers. “User” may also be referred to in Terms and Conditions as “you,” “your,” “user(s),” “users,” or “residents.”

“Mover”: a licensed, insured and bonded moving company, moving broker, or moving services provider otherwise adequately credentialed and licensed to the standard of the moving company’s local, state or federal jurisdiction(s). “Mover” may also be referred to in Terms and Conditions as “mover(s),” “movers,” “moving company,” “moving company partner,” or “moving service.”

“Move Matcher”: the company that owns and operates the website www.movematcher.com; manages a vetted mover network; and manages referral partnerships established through contractual agreements, or agreed to otherwise, through standard business practices. Move Matcher is an Illinois limited liability corporation (LLC) that facilitates mover search, comparison and booking in the United States. Move Matcher may be referred to in Terms and Conditions as “we,” “us,” “our.”

“Quote Results Page”: The proprietary listing of movers and some or all of each movers’ hourly rates, price estimates, ratings, reviews, and any other content we see fit to provide to users as a result of users’ unique quote requests, specific to an upcoming move or mover search query voluntarily performed by our users. The Quote Results Page and iterations of it appear on www.movematcher.com as well as third- party websites.

“Book Now”: A feature of the Move Matcher Quote Results Page which offers users the ability to instantly reserve a Move Matcher mover.


Summary of “Book Now” Service

The Book Now service is a convenient mover reservation tool (also referred to as “feature”) offered by us to users and movers who desire to simplify the process of finding and booking a reservation with one another for a move event. Book Now is available to certain users at Move Matcher’s discretion based on users’ quote requests which meet parameters pre-determined by Move Matcher and its mover(s). The use of Book Now by a user constitutes a financial transaction (also referred to below as “reservation,” “booking,” “assignment,”) between the user and Move Matcher. All of the standard rights and responsibilities associated with an online financial transaction apply to both the user and Move Matcher as well as the Responsibilities detailed below. This financial transaction occurs when a user completes the Stripe payment process in the Move Matcher Book Now form on www.movematcher.com or a Move Matcher-approved third-party website or service and no other online or offline locations without exception.


Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for submitting honest and accurate information in the quote request process, which renders a specific and corresponding Quote Results Page and may render the Book Now service.

You are responsible for submitting honest and accurate information in the Book Now form before paying for Book Now.

You are responsible for providing Move Matcher with your actual name, email address and mobile phone number so that you can be contacted by Move Matcher and mover pursuant to providing you with satisfactory, professional and courteous Book Now service.

You are responsible for using your own verifiably legally-obtained credit card when paying for the Book Now service.

You are responsible for paying for the Book Now service through Stripe, or any other first- or third-party payment processing solution, which Move Matcher reserves the right to utilize at its sole discretion.

You are responsible for communicating any and all issues, concerns and questions with regard to your move logistics, including but not limited to move timing, location, amount/size/possessions, scope of services needed, and any other variable elements of your unique move which may affect final pricing of your move either when or after you participate in the Book Now financial transaction.

You are responsible for communicating any and all errors, concerns, damages or adverse events otherwise resulting from your move directly with the mover assigned to your move by Move Matcher.

You are responsible for being a reasonable and available representative for your belongings before and during your move in the event that Move Matcher or mover needs to contact you to coordinate, alert you to or remind you of any planning or real-time information about your move.

You are responsible for paying your mover for additional fees, services or products provided to you by your assigned mover on the day(s) of your move which may include but are not limited to insurance for your move, storage, gratuities (“tips”), excessive packing materials, hourly fees in excess of those covered by your Book Now payment resulting from unforeseen variable delays, injury, damages or otherwise, and the use of additional or alternative moving vehicle(s) or other equipment originally assigned to your move and relayed to your mover based on the information you submitted in either your quote request or Book Now forms and confirmed by your submission of a Book Now reservation.

You are responsible for your own interaction(s) with your assigned mover before, during and after your Book Now move and agree that Move Matcher is not liable for any of your actions with regard to your treatment, communication and interactions with your assigned mover, including all employees and affiliates of the moving company.

You are responsible for accepting the mover assigned to your move by Move Matcher.

You are responsible for communicating your desire to cancel your Book Now assigned mover in advance of your move date and time. Cancellation of your mover may result in a partial, full or no refund by Move Matcher for your Book Now reservation. See Cancellation section for more details.


Mover Responsibilities

Mover is responsible for agreeing to allow Move Matcher to display and explain at its sole discretion the rate(s), price(s), and terms of service related to Book Now on the Move Matcher website and in Move Matcher marketing/sales materials including but not limited to text messages, emails and on social media.

Mover is responsible for performing any and all services mover may opt into providing after the Book Now assignment occurs, either to and for Move Matcher, or to Move Matcher on behalf of user(s), or directly to user(s).

Mover is solely responsible and agrees that Move Matcher is in no way liable for the behavior and performance of moving company employee and/or affiliate, branded or contracted personnel and agrees to solely remediate issues reasonably raised by user(s) with regard to physical or sexual harassment, personal or material injury, discrimination, and otherwise unprofessional behavior which may cause an adverse effect on the user(s) wellbeing.

Mover is responsible for paying, or accepting a holdback on, all fees charged by Move Matcher to the mover for facilitating the Book Now assignment between user(s) and mover and any fees otherwise associated with Book Now and agreed to in advance by mover.

Mover is responsible for performing the move for the Book Now price offered to user during user’s Book Now transaction provided the user submitted factual move details. Mover should not charge user fees for additional travel time, crew members, trucks, materials or other variable costs unless it has been determined by mover and communicated to user that the user provided inaccurate move details.

Mover is responsible for communicating any and all necessary logistical elements to Move Matcher and/or user(s) when doing so will ensure the successful performance of mover’s service(s) to user, including but not limited to move origination arrival/departure and destination arrival/departure scheduling conflicts, absence of personnel, material(s), vehicle(s), equipment or technology essential to performing the move within the price(s) or fee(s) originally agreed to by user and assigned to mover in the Book Now transaction.

Mover is responsible for protecting the data of all users assigned to mover before, during and after the assigned move, including but not limited to users’ first and last names, phone numbers, email addresses, origination addresses, destination addresses and any other data that would be reasonably expected to infringe upon the privacy of users.


Move Matcher Responsibilities

Move Matcher is responsible for managing the functionality and Terms of Book Now on behalf of itself, movers and users.

Move Matcher is responsible for timely and clear communication to users and movers about the Terms of Book Now as well as the processes, reminders, and commitments of itself, movers and users throughout the Book Now process both in the Terms and Conditions and relevant webpages, forms, emails, texts and phone calls with movers and users.

Move Matcher is responsible for providing customer service and reasonable remediation for adverse effects resulting from users’ or movers’ use of the Book Now feature’s technology.

Move Matcher is responsible for updating, and clarifying when necessary, the sections of this Terms and Conditions document that outline the responsibilities of users and movers to directly communicate and remediate any pricing disputes, service quality and performance issues, and any events otherwise that occur between user and mover in the process of an assigned move. Move Matcher is not responsible for, and is not licensed nor presenting itself to be, brokering moves and is not a move broker in any state or local jurisdiction of the United States.

Move Matcher is responsible for the accurate and honest delivery of users’ move details to movers, and the accurate and honest delivery of mover pricing and service details to users. In an effort to ensure the highest quality of service and utility for both users and movers, Move Matcher is responsible, at its sole discretion, for withholding the Book Now service from certain users or movers for any reason and at any time, and for terminating its Book Now partnership or arrangements otherwise with participating movers.


Cancellations

Users who cancel their Book Now assignment 7 days or more prior to their agreed upon move date and time will receive a full refund in the amount charged at their Book Now transaction.

Users who cancel their Book Now assignment between 7 days and 48 hours prior to their agreed upon move date and time will receive a refund in the amount charged at their Book Now transaction minus one- hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00). This charge is intended to compensate the mover for participating in Book Now despite losing the user’s business and for potentially lost business resulting from making the user’s date and time unavailable to other customers.

Users who cancel their Book Now assignment 48 hours or less prior to their agreed upon move date and time will receive no refund or compensation otherwise. This withholding of the full amount of the Book Now payment is intended to compensate the mover for the business lost with user, combined with the high likelihood that the mover will not find another customer to pay for the same date and time last- minute, and an effort to ensure movers remain cooperative and willing participants in Book Now after the cancelled move.

If a mover cancels on a user at any time, and does not offer a timely move solution that is agreed upon by the user, the user will receive a full refund in the amount charged at their Book Now transaction.
